Good value replacement, and like-for-like size. The fitting was within the described door thickness, but the screws supplied were 10 mm too short

Exactly what I needed

Happy with it - dimensions exactly as stated, which was important to me as I wanted to replace an existing letter plate without having to alter the door by enlarging the hole. It was a little difficult to line up the screws with the holes to secure it, which turned it into a two person job. However, if I'm honest about it, that is probably more about my lack of DIY skills than the product. Rating only allows me to select my expertise as standard or expert DIYer - while I am not inept, I'm possible a little below average. My one concern about the product is that it is fitted with two screws which are received in two unthreaded plastic tubes. The product which it replaced had two metal threaded receiving tubes, so I am uncertain whether the fitting method will give the same life if the plastic becomes brittle with age. Only time will tell

The letter plate arrived promptly and exactly as described. I just had to file the opening slightly and cut the letter plate along the scribed lines with a hacksaw to fit my door thickness. Could have been better if the scribe lines were deeper so that they could snap off if required. Looks very nice.
