Okay, bad fitting screws, holes need clearing.
Bought to replace very old brass equivalent. These are okay. Some overall dimension as previous brass version, but these seem thinner and slightly less impressive. Fine for my purpose, but could look and feel a bit more substantial. Had two to fit, for pantry and airing cupboard. 12 holes in all, 3 needed to be drilled out to let supplied screws in. Screws supplied are awful, too big for the countersink in handle and overlap edge. Changed to alternative screws in chrome, wasting time, then no problem.
