I bought this to replace furniture on the front door of my 16th century home. They look so original I am delighted

A girthy knob!

Having recently moved into a new home I found my front door bell to be weak and feeble, I decided at that pivotal moment in my life as I stood pressing a bell that sounded like a tortoise making love (google it) that I needed a manly man sounding front door. Que ironmongery direct where I selected an impressive knob to slap against my front door, I ordered at 7pm, the following morning at 0900 it was delivered, the same day it was fitted making sure it was positioned at just right height to avoid the knob slapping against the flaps of my box. The excitement building up inside me I grasped the thick heavy knob between my fingers and began to swing it rapidly to feel its action. Smooth and strong it slapped hard against my wood...en front door with a satisfying slap as it thwacked against my entrance. It’s heavy and loud enough to wake the gods and very well made, it’s a welcome addition to my opening and now my wife can’t keep her hands off my knob!!

Good quality product

Solid and heavy, but drillings aren't necessarily centred!

Disappointing

No fitting instructions supplied, which would have been nice given the amount of bolts and washer supplied, some of which seemed unnecessary. Bolts didn't line-up, which meant knocker wouldn't go-on straight.
