Dont even think about buying these. Waste of time!

Terrible quality. As well as the colour/finish quality issues found by others, none of the holes lined up against each other. When laid flat with the first hole in line, by the time you got the the other end, the holes on one strip were almost an entire hole spacing out. All 4 had different spacings. Impossible to get shelves that wouldn't rock. In the end, refund for the parts, but lost out on the pre-10 delivery charge, and the extra long item charge (which is also a laughable extra) . Ordered from another supplier, for half the price, with free pre-10am delivery included. I know where I'll be going in the future...

Bad quality product, bad stock control.

Received 20 of these all badly plated, also badly packed and damaged on arrival. Arranged for replacements which were damaged by courier again. Had several conversations, where I asked for stock to be checked before sending more, Ironmongery Direct had to be pushed to do this properly. it turned out that the whole batch was faulty and no more would be available for months.

Toni strip

Nice quality Toni strip. The Strip came in a ridged cardboard tube , Unfortunately several lengths where not dead flat and straight, no damage to tube so I don’t know why it should be like this. Being solid brass it’s prone to bending easily, other than having to straighten a few lengths prior to fitting, I’m very happy with the product and the brushed stainless effect on brass is clever and effective.

Decent product

I've used this bookcase strip for a good few years and its decent quality and importantly they are accurately trimmed to size with the holes accuratly placed. I've used cheaper ones and had issues with shelves wobbling when fitted due to the holes not lining up. If I need a number of them the same length I screw 4 at a time down on some MDF and cut them to length all at the same time rather than cutting one at a time with a 1mm cutting disk on a 4" grinder.. Works for me. :-)

Excellent product

Used 16 lengths for a new library system in conjunction with the heavy duty clips and delighted with the outcome. Make sure you use the stepped router cutter which also cuts the deeper groove to give clearance for the clips. Secure with Spax 3.5 x 20mm stainless screws. Note that there is a slight variation in the cut off of the strips so the distance from the top of the strip to the first slot varies slightly. This is easily overcome by using the top of the first slot as a reference when squaring off the end of the grooves.
