Oddly designed.
This is poorly designed. As you push the letter from the front and the inner flap is lifted, as this happens the top set of brushes move backwards. This makes it harder to get the letter through. Cheap and nasty.

Perfect replacement size, but better with flap.
The last one lasted twenty years but the plastic became fragile and broke. This replacement was perfect, and much easier online than looking in shops. Delivery charge was a bit steep for such a cheap item but it only took a couple of days to arrive.
