How Briton are celebrating 25 years of success

For 25 years, Briton have provided precise and efficient installation, making those jobs that much simpler. To celebrate this, they have released a new version of their Accufit template, and we have all the information you need!

What is Accufit?

If you’re not familiar with the Accufit template, let us tell you all about it! The Accufit template is a ‘peel and stick’ system used to provide installers the means to fit door closers quickly and accurately on the first attempt. It is designed to be stuck to the door and its frame, making sure all fixing points are accurately pre-drilled and the positioning of the closer is correct for its application. We even have a step-by-step guide for you from Briton!

Select the correct fitting application and peel away the self-adhesive backing.

Using the arrow triangles line up the self-adhesive template with the top edge of the door and smooth down in place.

Repeat this process for the arm bracket or track arm depending on the fitting application or product selected.

Mark the screw hole fixing positions onto the door/frame for the door closer body, arm bracket or track arm.

Peel away the template to reveal the pilot holes on the door and frame.

Follow the pictorial step by step fixing and mounting instructions, which will be provided with the closer.

So, what’s new?

The updated versions of the Accufit template are now available with Briton 2003 and 2003V closers, in preparation for the launch expanding across the Briton door closer range in the coming months. Something to also consider would be the changes to the fire safely legislation, which means that there is also a renewed focus on competency, ensuring accurate installation is now more significant than ever, which makes this the perfect time to launch this enhanced system.
