Product as expected, but service terrible.
Product came through, but arrived with no fixings and the boxes were all damaged. Flagged this up to Ironmongery Direct, who were not interested in hearing the feedback.

OK - but no instructions
This is a no frills door closer. It came with no instructions so was initially a bit harder to work out. I drilled a 25mm hole though that was probably too wide, though the unit is held in place by the screws at the front so guess the larger width hole didn't matter. The unit is supplied with a locking plate to help installation. Basically pre-drill and fit the individual parts (unscrew the chain mechanism to get better access) then fit the main unit. Pull out the plate that fits on the door frame (some force required) then use the locking plate to fit over the chain link to remove the tension. Fit the rest of the unit and then remove the locking plate. Works as described.

Solid quality lightweight closers
Used on residential fire doors. Good quality, excellent value for what they are.

Hi, Thank you for your question In essence a hole and recess is made in the door jamb (door frame) to which the cylinder part of the closer is inserted and fixed, the other flat plate is recessed and attached to the door itself, that's pretty much it. Full instructions are included with the closer
