Sale items may be cheap for a reason!

This item was reduced in price and seemed like value for money. However, when it arrived the spring that closes the letter flap was mounted in a way that it was visibly protruding beyond the back of the frame. This means it was not possible to install the item flat against the door unless you cut out a small piece of the door to accommodate the spring... but this would be seen. Also, the item had deep grinding marks under the chrome visible next to the flap. Badly designed and manufactured. No doubt these have been returned in the past. Perhaps a more honest description of the sale item is needed. I had to return the item, pack it in a box and take it to the post office. This always leaves a bad taste as it became my responsibility and cost petrol and time. Always had good purchases from this store in the past however,this was a disappointment. Avoid.

Lovely product but too small. Easy to return and bought a different one which is perfect.

Excellent replacement

I've been renovating the door of a house i've been working on and wanted to change the letter box. I took the old brass 1 off but could'nt find a letter box that would fit the old holes, then i came across this beauty and it fits like a glove

Lovely shape - great mechanism - spring shows though...

This is a lovely letter box flap, except the spring cannot be easily tidied away so I have had to tighten the bolts whilst pulling it away from the edge, to ensure it is not visible once the flap is installed.

Great product

This item was spot on in every way. Was a great finishing touch to our newly painted door. Dimensions and fit were perfect. Very happy.
