Combining these fittings allows self build toilet cubicles or changing facilities to become an easy project. All the fittings are designed for 19/20mm panels and come complete with the fixings necessary to complete the job. Simple and cost effective.

In an ideal situation a toilet cubicle door which is used by the elderly, infirm or disabled should be outward-opening, away from the cubicle area, allowing safe emergency access in the event of the occupant collapsing behind the door. When the building design does not allow for this, these fittings are a useful alternative. The pivot set is used instead of hinges, fitted without a frame stop which means the door can swing both ways. The release stop is fitted instead of a frame stop, it acts as a stop and in normal use will only allow the door to swing one way, just as a normal timber stop.

Falling butts are used where the door is required to self open out of the frame, commonly used in toilet cubicles where the door falls open into the cubicle when not in use. This allows easy identification of vacancy and helps prevent vandalism by keeping an area open and in full view.
Important; falling butt hinges must be lubricated frequently whilst in use. Use 'Lithium 3' grease.
