To retain the integrity of FD30 and FD60 fire resisting doors use these fire rated letter plates. Tested to BS476 Part 20/22 The letter plates we offer are visibly similar to common letter plates with hidden intumescent material providing an easy way of retaining the lock and achieving fire protection. Designed to fit doors from 44mm to 54mm thick by means of an adjustable centre sleeve connecting inside to out. Excellent sealing and robust enough for applications such as hostels or student accommodation.

Cover sizes are the aperture size that they are designed to cover i.e. order the same size cover as the intumescent block. Order 2 covers per intumescent block.

One answer comes in the form of an intumescent block which allows air to flow through under normal conditions but closes under its own expansion when exposed to a fully developed fire.
