As the fastener is closed, the angle of the wedge ensures that the window is pulled in tight against the weather seal. The Acorn sash stop fits into the side rail of the upper sash and is cut in flush, the Acorn on its chain is attached to the top of the lower sash and is retained there when not in use. When the Acorn is screwed into its plate it will act as a stop, therefore allowing the sashes to be secured open in the ventilated position.
The sash screw passes through the centre rail where the sashes meet; therefore locking them, as no vertical movement can then be achieved.

Contract Flat Section Bolt

Designed for flush fitting into either the face or edge of the door. These bolts are strong and well finished and pleasing to the eye. Some of the more unusual fitting applications we have supplied these bolts for are securing secret wall panels and similarly overhead panels in the ship building industry. The lever action is well sprung and can be relied upon to hold the bolt in either the locked or unlocked positions. Various larger sizes are often available from stock, almost any size can be made to order.

Lever Action Flush Bolts with a Satin or Polished stainless finish

Similar to our standard flush bolts, same high quality, however these bolts are designed for fitting into the front face of the door where the slide knob makes them easier to operate. Consequently, commonly used in frequent use doors and for securing the slave leaves of school store doors.
