Ventilation including air-conditioning, ductwork or simply cutting holes for ventilation within buildings can contravene British Standards when installed into fire doors or compartment walls. One answer comes in the form of an intumescent block which allows air to flow through under normal conditions but closes under its own expansion when exposed to a fully developed fire.

Our range of ventilation covers offer an excellent robust 'face fit' option complementing the intumescent air transfer fire block range.

The pressed steel covers are 'zinctec' coated before painting to a satin silver finish. Covers can also be supplied to match any BS or RAL colour reference. Please contact our customer services team with your enquiries.
Covers are promptly shipped direct from the factory and are supplied drilled for screws (not supplied).
As the illustration indicates the intumescent block must be bedded in with intumescent mastics.

To retain the integrity of FD30 and FD60 fire resisting doors use these fire rated letter plates. Tested to BS476 Part 20/22 The letter plates we offer are visibly similar to common letter plates with hidden intumescent material providing an easy way of retaining the lock and achieving fire protection. Designed to fit doors from 44mm to 54mm thick by means of an adjustable centre sleeve connecting inside to out. Excellent sealing and robust enough for applications such as hostels or student accommodation.
