A parish council in Berkshire has agreed to install a new gate at the Morgan recreation ground in an attempt to put an end to anti-social behaviour in the area, it has been revealed.
GetBracknell.co.uk reports residents in the area attended a Crowthorne Parish Council meeting to complain about behaviour such as underage drinking, drug-taking and drink-driving, which left them feeling intimidated.
Tina McKenzie-Boyle, parish council chairman, told reporters: "It's tragic when we have to take these measures.
"Anti-social behaviour is committed by a few but we're damned if do take action and damned if we don't. Unfortunately in this case the few have impacted on the many."
The news provider added the decision of the council was to keep the gate locks except during special occasions.
Last week, Bracknell Forest Standard reported police in Sunningdale have advised elderly people in the town to use padlocks in their efforts to combat distraction burglaries.
Overnight delivery of all the ironmongery needed for timber windows, doors and cabinets.
