Break Glass Emergency Bolt

Break Glass Emergency Bolt Image

A strong break glass exit bolt for exit routes that would not frequently need to be used or where you would typically not want occupants to pass through unless in the event of a genuine emergency. A typical application would be a door between two separately let offices where one office needs an escape route through the other office. When the glass tube is smashed the sprung bolt withdraws automatically. Each bolt is sold with all parts except the padlock which you must order separately. Glass tubes & hammers are sold separately as spares.Padlocks are also sold separately

The Red Break Glass Emergency Bolt

The Red Break Glass Emergency Bolt Image

The Red Bolt is the original break glass bolt which is virtually identical to the bolt above; however this bolt is stocked as it offers two main advantages, firstly a dual sided option is available that allows emergency exit from either side in an emergency. Secondly, the Redlam Bolt has established itself as a specifiers favourite for many years, consequently there is a strong replacement market.

Cubicle Pivot & Stop Sets

Cubicle Pivot & Stop Sets Image

In an ideal situation a toilet cubicle door which is used by the elderly, infirm or disabled should be outward-opening, away from the cubicle area, allowing safe emergency access in the event of the occupant collapsing behind the door. When the building design does not allow for this, these fittings are a useful alternative. The pivot set is used instead of hinges, fitted without a frame stop which means the door can swing both ways. The release stop is fitted instead of a frame stop, it acts as a stop and in normal use will only allow the door to swing one way, just as a normal timber stop. However this stop has a fingertip release for emergency situations where the door needs to swing out of the cubicle. The 2 way striking plates allow doors to be opened in two directions without damage to doors or frames; the bolt cut-outs are 30 x 15mm.
